Associate Dentist

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate associate dentist to join our private dental office. As an associate dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, as well as educating them on oral hygiene and preventive measures. You will also work closely with the lead dentist and the dental staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients’ teeth and gums to diagnose and treat various oral health issues.
  • Perform routine and complex dental procedures, such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, etc.
  • Use X-rays, intraoral cameras, and other diagnostic tools to assist with examinations and treatments.
  • Prescribe antibiotics, painkillers, and other medications as needed.
  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene practices and advise them on proper aftercare following certain dental procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all appointments, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals.
  • Follow infection control and sterilization protocols for all dental instruments and equipment.
  • Use Rubber Dam for restorative procedures for safety
  • Collaborate with the lead dentist and the dental staff to ensure a positive and professional work environment.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in dentistry.
  • Communicate and follow up with patients whom you’ve provided treatment via telephone or email.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid Illinois license to practice dentistry and current malpractice insurance.
  • CPR certification and DEA registration.
  • At least one year of experience working as a dentist in a private or public dental setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, complications and emergencies calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to adapt to Molar City’s learning environment and be willing to accept constructive criticism and be eager to further enhance your skillset.
