Dr. Kevin Ng

DDS, Owner & CEO

Dr. Kevin Ng, the passionate and enthusiastic founder of Molar City Dental, was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. After completing his undergraduate studies in Toronto, he moved to New York City, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry.

To further advance his training, Dr. Ng completed a competitive General Practice Residency at the renowned NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. There, he gained advanced experience across all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, restorative, pediatric, and cosmetic dentistry. He also cared for patients with complex medical histories and special needs—an experience that strengthened his belief in providing compassionate, comprehensive dental care for every patient.

Dr. Ng eventually planted his roots in Chicago, where he founded Molar City Dental in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. He is proud to serve the community with a patient-first philosophy that blends advanced clinical expertise with genuine care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Ng is an avid Chicago sports fan who enjoys attending hockey, basketball, and baseball games. After living in several major cities, he fell in love with Chicago and is excited to continue serving Lincoln Square and the broader community for many years to come.

Fun Fact: Though he grew up in Canada, Dr. Ng is now a die-hard Chicago sports fan—you’ll usually find him cheering louder than anyone in the arena.

Donell Tolbert

Dir of Operations

Donell is a dynamic operations leader with extensive experience in dental practice management and business development. A proud United States Marine Corps combat veteran, he brings discipline, resilience, and a mission-driven approach to his leadership at Molar City Dental.

With degrees in Business Management and Culinary Arts, Donell combines strategic expertise with creativity, helping him lead with both precision and passion. He is dedicated to ensuring patients and the team alike have the best possible experience.

Outside of work, Donell enjoys cooking, yard work, traveling, staying active through fitness, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family.

Fun Fact: He used to play the trumpet, a creative outlet that taught him discipline and rhythm—skills that carry into his professional life today.

Suzy

Smile Coordinator

Suzy has been in the dental field since 2016, beginning her career as a dental assistant before moving to the front desk. Currently working toward her dental hygiene degree, she brings a unique blend of clinical and administrative expertise to the team.

Passionate about cosmetic dentistry, Suzy loves helping patients feel confident in their smiles. Fluent in Spanish, she creates a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.

Outside the office, Suzy is a proud mom of three who enjoys family time, exploring new foods—especially Mexican and Puerto Rican cuisine—and expressing her creativity through nails and lashes.

Fun Fact: She has run the Chicago Marathon and can still do the splits!

Lina

Dental Assistant

Lina has been working in dentistry for about eight years, with the last two years focused on assisting chairside. She loves the ability of dentistry to restore function, aesthetics, and confidence, and she enjoys working across nearly all areas of care—especially restorative dentistry, oral rehabilitation, orthodontics, and endodontics.

Her passion for dentistry began as a child, when she always looked forward to visits at her own dentist’s office. That early fascination grew into a lifelong career helping others.

In her free time, Lina enjoys painting, hiking, and relaxing with a good movie.

Brandon

Hygenist

Brandon earned his dental hygiene degree from Malcolm X College and has been in the dental field for over a year. He is passionate about patient education and focuses on preventing and treating gum disease with thorough yet compassionate care.

Originally trained in business and marketing, Brandon discovered his true calling in dentistry, where he can blend precision, wellness, and artistry to create beautiful, healthy smiles.

When he’s not at the office, Brandon enjoys weightlifting and traveling. His adventures have taken him to Tanzania and Zanzibar, and Japan is next on his list!

Ana

Lead Dental Assistant

With more than 15 years in dentistry, Ana specializes in oral surgery and is known for her compassionate, patient-centered care. Fluent in Spanish, she ensures every patient feels comfortable and understood.

Henry

Office Manager

Henry has worked in dentistry for over 10 years and excels at making patients feel at ease while navigating treatment and insurance. He’s known for his top-notch service—and his sense of humor.
